Aston Villa after turning their attention to the young Brazilian Luiz Henrique after failing to sign the striker from Athletic Club Nico Williamsaccording to the Daily Mail.

The report claims that Villa are ready to raise a £45m release clause in Williams’ contract with Bilbao, which would put them ahead of the £34.6m £34.6m signing of winger Emiliano Buendia in 2021 from Norwich City.

Williams has emerged as one of Europe’s best players and has impressed at the 2022 World Cup in Spain, but the 20-year-old is reported to prefer to stay in LaLiga for now.

Despite this, Villa manager Unai Emery is still looking to strengthen the attack and has identified Henrique as a possibility. Henrique plays for Real Betis, and it is reported that the transfer fee is around 20 million pounds. The 22-year-old Brazilian signed for Betis last summer from Botafogo and has managed to score three goals, along with five assists in all competitions this season.

Villa’s new form under Emery has seen them drop out of the bottom three, but they will still need to strengthen their attacking options, as they are just three points behind sixth-placed Brighton.


Ayoze Perez is set to leave Leicester City, moving to Real Betis soon, according to reports Rudy Galetti. The report states that Betis have managed to resolve some of the conditions in the transfer market, allowing the deal for Perez to close. Perez has been linked with a move away from Leicester since the start of the transfer window, with no regular games this season.

Tiemoue Bakayoko looks set to leave AC Milan for Turkish side Adana Demirspor on a three-year deal, according to Calciomercato. The 28-year-old midfielder is nearing the end of his loan at Milan, however, it is believed that his loan will be terminated early to see him sign for the Super Lig club.

– Nottingham Forest are stepping up their interest in the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas after Dean Henderson’s injury, according to the Daily Mail. Henderson picked up a thigh injury against Forest at Leicester earlier this month and it is unclear when he will return. This has only reportedly increased their interest in Navas, who is behind Gianluigi Donnarumma in PSG’s top spot.

– THiago Silva is set to sign a new contract with Chelsea, according to the Mirror. Silva’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, however, it is believed that Graham Potter is keen not to lose the experience of the 38-year-old Brazilian.

– Southampton have turned their attention to Marseille Bamba Dieng Follow up from Nicolas Jackson, as reported by Express. The report says that the Saints are desperate to strengthen their attacking role and have earmarked Dieng as an option. They are thought to be very interested in Jackson, however, and he now appears to be joining AFC Bournemouth from Villarreal.
