In her office, Taylor tells Ridge over the phone that the situation with Bill and Sheila is under control. He had to come back to confront Bill because he would just yell and scream and make the situation worse. Sheila appears and Taylor lets Ridge go. Sheila wanted to talk to her now that she realized they weren’t really that different. He hopes Taylor can find a way to accept the situation so they can all exist in peace.
At Forrester Creations, Carter accompanies Charlie to the building’s security in Ridge’s absence. Katie joins them as they reflect on the danger of Sheila getting loose.
At Il Giardino, Brooke passes on the deacon’s ravioli. Deacon tells her how much it means to him that she and Hope are proud of him. “This is something I’ve dreamed about for a long time.” Brock laughed. They talk about his pizza and he suggests trying some again. Deacon comments on how great it is – two friends having a piece – he can talk to her about the restaurant and she tells him how great her life is now that Ridge isn’t in it. He would have loved to see the look on his face when she and Taylor beat him up. “Proud of you.” Brooke relays that they are also proud of themselves and want to be good role models for Hope, Steffy, Kelly, and Beth. There was another benefit that no one could have predicted, she shares, “I found a new dear friend in Taylor.” Deacon jokes that hell has frozen over. Brooke laughs that it’s so interesting – they have so much in common and not just Ridge. He changes the subject to Deacon and asks if there is a woman in his life. She is ready to dance with Sheila. Brooke can tell by the look on her face who is there.

At Forrester, Charlie files after explaining to a wise-faced Carter why he calls him “little cheese”. Once alone, Carter asks Katie if she’s okay. She isn’t, and explains that she found out more about how Bill is blackmailing Steffy and Finn to keep Sheila out of jail. Katie says it’s unbelievable and she can’t sleep all night. Carter assures her that she doesn’t have to tell him. Katie thinks it’s better she doesn’t know. Carter says it’s good; His main concern is that. Katie says he went to see Bill, which meant he would end things with Sheila if she took him back.

In Taylor’s office, he tells Sheila that he wants them to live in peace and harmony, but the only way is when he’s behind bars. They go over Sheila’s past and Sheila reminds Taylor that she put a bullet in Bill. She didn’t come to argue but assures Taylor that he won’t hurt her or anyone in the family. “I care about you.” Taylor scoffs. “I saved your life,” Sheila reminds him. Taylor walks into the scene on the roof. Sheila tells Taylor that he is a leader and the family will listen. She promises that she will not go anywhere. He knows how Taylor feels about Bill’s shooting and asks her to forgive herself. Taylor leans on her to stop. “Stop what you’re doing.” He is right that he must forgive himself, but he will never forgive Sheila…ever. Sheila walked out. Taylor cried and cried.

At Forrester, Katie tells Carter that she saw a glimmer of hope in Bill’s eyes when he talked about them getting together. Carter thinks that holding Sheila must not be as strong as they thought. He asks if she’s sure she can’t go back to Bill. Katie is not a married woman. After everything that happened to Brooke, “I deserve better than this.” Considering what he’s doing now, he doesn’t even know Bill. Katie felt as happy with a man as Bill, but now he really brings danger to her door. Carter says, “Our door. We’re in this together, remember?” Katie can’t go back to another after being with someone like Carter. She lowers his good features and kisses them.

Carter leaves, the office door closes, and Katie turns to find Sheila. He laughed, “How did you get in here?!” Sheila reminds her that she is a free woman and says that she has come to warn her that she must accept her relationship with Bill, “or Bill.”
Brooke arrives at Taylor’s office with a pizza from Deacon’s restaurant and realizes that this might not be a good time. Taylor admits that Sheila visited her. Brooke asks what on earth she’s doing there and if Taylor is okay. Her friend says that she wants peace and harmony and tries to tell him that they are the same because they both shot someone. Taylor thinks about keeping it a secret so as not to spoil her image. Brooke says she wasn’t herself. Taylor worries that Sheila is okay. “We’re not that different!” Brock tells Taylor to stop it. Sheila gets in people’s heads and they doubt themselves. He asks her to see that she is nothing like Sheila Carter. “You’re amazing.” Brooke insists that Sheila is weaponizing her guilt and she can’t let that happen. Taylor cracks; He breaks down. Brooke ran to catch her. “I’m here for you. Always. We’ll get through this, okay?” Tyler sweats and nods.
